Dragons at play amidst cloud shrouded mountains
Shy enough never to fully be seen
Just flickers and flashes, Occasional lightning
And our inner eye surveying the scene.
For there is more to it all than our outward senses
With their limited range can manage to glean.
We turn to our dreams and imaginations-
Intelligence tapping the veins unseen.

Such Cunning Creatures Crows
Gliding to a stop
With a flutter and a hop,
Aglitter in the light,
Black and yet so bright.
Dancing as they feed
Where a farmer sowing seed
Has turned the earth about
Now inside faces out.
Then the tractors circling sound
All arise and wheel around
To settle back behind
There's fresh turned worms to find.
Gliding in to stop
With a flutter and a hop.
With a flutter and a hop,
Aglitter in the light,
Black and yet so bright.
Dancing as they feed
Where a farmer sowing seed
Has turned the earth about
Now inside faces out.

All arise and wheel around
To settle back behind
There's fresh turned worms to find.
Gliding in to stop
With a flutter and a hop.
Slumbering Dragon
Cracking and tumbling in slabs and blocks
Jumbled up in piles
A wild and wonderful realm of rocks
Ridges that run for miles.
Jutting in jagged dragons spines
Tilting toward the sky,
Their ancient layers weathered in lines
Where the crumbling stratas die.
Cracking and tumbling...
Jumbled up in piles
A wild and wonderful realm of rocks
Ridges that run for miles.
Jutting in jagged dragons spines
Tilting toward the sky,
Their ancient layers weathered in lines
Where the crumbling stratas die.
Cracking and tumbling...
Breaking of the Drought
The atmosphere trembles as rumbling thunder
Reverberates over the lightning lit plains.
And then a great crash as the sky splits asunder
The storm is upon us and wild eyed with wonder
Children run catching the first drops of rain.
Reverberates over the lightning lit plains.
And then a great crash as the sky splits asunder
The storm is upon us and wild eyed with wonder
Children run catching the first drops of rain.
